The undoubted sex appeal of sheer, fully-fashioned vintage nylon stockings has endured from the days of 1950's and 1960's pulp fiction to the present day. Like deliciously feminine nylon slips, the tactile pleasure of wonderfully diaphanous sheer seamed nylon stockings were expertly depicted by those incredibly talented artists and illustrators of pulp fiction cover art. Even though back in the 1950's and early 60's virtually every woman wore stockings with a suspender (garter) belt in her everyday lingerie, the pulp fiction cover artists of yesteryear somehow managed to associate women in nylon stockings with sin, bad girls and temptation in their illustrations - almost certainly because their readership was composed almost exclusively of men. This carries on even to this day as online sales of nylon seamed stockings are driven by images of allure and sex appeal. And why not. Below are just a few examples of sheer nylon stockings in 1940s and 50s pulp fiction art.
